不完全认同楼上的.
patients who were recorded as the people who were having pneumonia on different days in December 这是patients 后面跟了一个定语从句的结构,定语从句中the people 后面又跟了一个定语从句
整个这个词组中的定语从句可以改为分词结构做定语,于是变成 patients recorded as the people having pneumonia on different days in December ,但是这样说又有些啰嗦,因为as后面的the people和前面的patients是一致的,于是进一步变成 patients recorded as having pneumonia on different days in December
