With respect to theories, after a review of basic theories on traditional supply chain management, the essay sets forth theories on the value net, a higher form of supply chains in the context of e-commerce. It analyzes the net's working pattern and the essential factors in its operation design. Using a cyclical network model featuring progressive relationship between nodes that begin with business value and end with value creation in the business value net, the essay illustrates the process of establishing the net in the context of e-commerce. In terms of the implementation and operation mechanism of the net, it analyzes the key factors underlying the implementation of the net, and establishes a performance assessment theory for the value-net-based business management model.
