有一些意见和楼上的不同。

1.we are singing an English song this time that day
are改为were
this time that day---那天的这个时候，说明是过去的一个时刻，所以用过去时

2.What are you doing when your friend cut his finger
are改为were
看到句子后面的cut没？your friend是第3人称单数，后面本应该用cuts的，所以这里的cut是过去式，用when引导的是过去时，那么之前也应该为过去时

3.They were having biology until the headmaster went in
until改为when

4.Before lying on the bed ,the girl was reading a novel
was reading改为read
楼上是去掉the，我觉得这里没有必要。

5.The Browns was talking with a policeman when they were at the shop
was改为were
The Browns指的是“布朗一家”，应该为复数。

6.He maybe at home.
maybe改为may be
maybe是副词，这个词一般是用在句首的。但是如果是楼上那样改的话，就少了。我们说的是be at home，表示在家里，may只是起到了情态动词还原动词原形的作用。在may be中，may是情态动词，be是动词原形。

7.Does he need borrow any money from his father?
borrow改为to borrow
need to do 表示需要做某事

8.John is much popular than me
much改为more
因为后面是than，用比较级，popular变more popular
